Dapping Tools are specifically designed to aid the installation of the Shear Plate Connectors. The tool cuts the recesses (or daps) in the timber the same size and shape as the shear plate connector. The Dapping tool can be used with a portable drill or drill press.
Spare cutter sets for the tools are available.
